The short answer for an ordinary weekday in Austin is twenty-four hours, and often less. The short answer for the second weekend of October is three months. Everything interesting is in between.

By month, because Austin is seasonal
The city's transportation demand is not evenly spread. Two months carry most of it, and in those two months the entire premium fleet across every operator in Austin is committed.
- March — SXSW, and NASCAR at COTA in early March. Book by January.
- April and May — spring weddings, MotoGP, graduation. Six to eight weeks.
- June to August — the quietest stretch. A week is usually plenty.
- September — conference season restarts. Three to four weeks.
- October — ACL across two weekends and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Book by July or August.
- November and December — holiday parties and corporate entertaining. Six weeks for anything on a Friday or Saturday.
October 2026 is unusually concentrated: ACL runs October 2–4 and 9–11, and the Grand Prix follows on October 22–25. Three of the month's four weekends are event weekends.
Why the constraint is availability, not price
Our rate is fixed when the reservation is made, so booking late does not cost more per hour. What booking late costs is choice — the vehicle you wanted, the chauffeur continuity across a program, the ability to hold a car through a session rather than releasing it.
For a single sedan that is a small loss. For a program that needs five Sprinters held for three days, a late request is frequently unfillable at any price, because those vehicles were committed to somebody else in July.
What to do if you are already late
Call rather than book online. Late availability during an event week is real but specific — a particular vehicle class, particular hours — and a conversation finds it faster than a form. Being flexible about vehicle type and about start time by thirty minutes opens up options that a fixed request does not.
