The Las Vegas Grand Prix is the only race on the calendar where the circuit runs through the hotels. Las Vegas Boulevard becomes the track, which means the roads guests need are the roads that close — and the race runs at night, so the transportation problem lands in the small hours rather than the afternoon.

When the road is the racetrack
Every other Grand Prix has a circuit you travel to. In Las Vegas the circuit is the boulevard your hotel sits on, and the closure plan determines whether a vehicle can reach a porte-cochère at all. Access shifts through the weekend as sections close and reopen, and the correct answer on Thursday is the wrong one on Saturday.
This is not a problem you solve with a shorter route. It is solved by knowing which side of the closure your hotel entrance is on for that day and staging accordingly — sometimes a set-down several hundred metres from a door that is, on paper, right there.
A race that finishes when the city normally starts
Night running moves the whole weekend late. Sessions run into the small hours, the crowd disperses at a time when most ground transportation has thinned out, and the hotels absorb a simultaneous surge that no taxi rank is sized for.
A pre-arranged chauffeur held through the night is the only version of this that behaves predictably. The vehicle is staged before the session ends, at an agreed point outside the closure, and the wait is yours rather than the crowd's.
Arrivals into a full city
Harry Reid International sits immediately south-east of the Strip — normally a fifteen minute run, and materially longer during Grand Prix week when the closures push airport traffic onto fewer approaches. Private aviation fills the ramps early.
The practical advice is unglamorous: arrive earlier in the week than feels necessary, and treat the airport leg as the one that must be tracked, because it is the one where a delay cascades into every commitment behind it.
